Native of France, Manuel Vignoulle is an award-winning choreographer and the artistic director of Manuel Vignoulle - M/motions, a project-based company based in New York.

He studied at The Conservatoire National Supérieur de Danse et de Musique de Paris and went on to work with different french contemporary companies including Claude Brumachon, Corinne Lanselle and Bernardo Montet. 

He was a dance artist with both Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève (Switzerland), and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet (New York) where he worked with inspiring choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Hofesh Shechter, Andonis Foniadalkis, Ohad Naharin, Jo Strongen, Alexander Eckman, Benjamin Millepied, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Cisco Aznar, Didy Veldman, Carolyn Carlson, Malou Airaudo and Benoit-Swan Pouffer among others. 

Manuel appeared as a guest for La La La Human Steps (Canada), Dutch National Ballet (The Netherlands), State Theatre (South Africa) and The Forsythe Company (Germany). 

He has also been an assistant to modern-jazz choreographer, Redha, on various productions. Such productions include concert dance, television, film, fashion, musical theater, and operas in which he often performed in.

Manuel’s work, performed in France, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Serbia, Israel, Mexico, Brazil,  South Africa, Canada and USA, has been commissioned by BalletX, Introdans, Ailey II, Jeune Ballet Européen, Whim W’Him, Columbia Classical Ballet, DanceWorks Chicago, Satellite Collective, 10 Hairy Legs, Makers Dance Company, A.Corona Performing Works, Chicago Repertory Ballet, iKADA Contemporary Dance Company, Ballet Arkansa, Peridance Contemporary Ballet Company, Steps Repertoire Ensemble, Periapsis Music & Dance, Purchase Dance company, The Ailey School , Rutgers University, UT at Austin, Adelphi University, T.Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, La Superior ESMDM, Springboard and Antigel Festival.

He has performed his work with Manuel Vignoulle - M/motions at Jacob’s Pillow, Fire Island Festival, Bryant Park (New York), APAP, Booking Dance Festival, Monterrey International Ballet Gala (Mexico), Summer Heat International Dance Festival (Tulsa, OK), LifeChance International Ballet Gala (SC), Hutson Valley Dance Festival, Palm Springs Dance Festival (CA), The Dance Gallery Festival, WestFest, Pushing Progress Showcase Series and The Latin Choreographers Festival (NY).


Manuel is the recipient of 2 Grand Prize Awards for 2 consecutive years at the Palm Desert Choreography Festival (CA) in 2017 with “BLACK & WHITE” in 2018 and with “EARTH”. He also won the KoDaFe in NYC 2019 Dance Competition with “US”.
